Privacy policy and data handling practices

    Last updated: May 4, 2025

    1. Introduction

Welcome to the services provided by Apsion (referred to as “Apsion,” “the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Apsion is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Apsion collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you visit our website (the “Site”) and use our services (the “Service”). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not access the Site or use the Service.

Apsion reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. The Company will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last updated” date of this Privacy Policy.

    2. Collection of Your Information

Apsion may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information the Company may collect on the Site and through the Service includes:

    Personal Data

Personally identifiable information, such as your name and email address, that you voluntarily provide when registering with the Site or when choosing to participate in various activities related to the Service, such as creating a profile or contacting support.

    User-Provided Content

Information you provide while using the Service, including data entered into forms, profiles, and any other content submitted through the platform. This data is used to personalize and improve the Service for you.

    Derivative Data

Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, access times, and the pages viewed directly before and after accessing the Site. We may also collect information about your usage of the Service, such as features used and session duration.

    Financial Data

Apsion may collect financial information, such as data related to your payment method (e.g., valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date) when you purchase a subscription or make a payment through the Site. The Company stores only very limited, if any, financial information. Otherwise, all financial information is stored by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, LemonSqueezy), and you are encouraged to review their privacy policies and contact them directly for responses to your questions.

    Data From Third Parties

Apsion may receive information about you from third parties, such as social media platforms if you connect your account, or from error tracking services like Sentry for technical diagnosis purposes.

    3. Use of Your Information

Having accurate information about you enables Apsion to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, the Company may use information collected about you via the Site or Service to:

    • Create and manage user accounts.
    • Provide and manage the Service.
    • Personalize your experience based on your usage and preferences.
    • Process payments and refunds.
    • Send account and order-related communications.
    • Send newsletters, promotional materials, and other information about the Service (with opt-out options).
    • Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve the user experience with the Site and Service.
    • Diagnose and fix technical issues (e.g., using Sentry).
    • Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity.
    • Process customer service requests.
    • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

    4. Disclosure of Your Information

Apsion may share collected information about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

By Law or to Protect Rights

If Apsion determines the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of Company policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, the Company may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.

    Third-Party Service Providers

Apsion may share your information with third parties that perform services for the Company, including payment processing (Stripe/LemonSqueezy), data storage and hosting (Supabase, Vercel/Cloudflare), email delivery, customer service, marketing assistance, and error monitoring (Sentry). These third parties are obligated to protect your information.

    Business Transfers

Apsion may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of Company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of the Company's business by another company.

    Aggregated or Anonymized Data

The Company may share aggregated or anonymized information (which does not directly identify you) for research, analysis, or service improvement purposes.

    5. Tracking Technologies

Apsion may use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, and other tracking technologies on the Site and within the Service to help customize the experience and improve functionality. For more information on how cookies are used, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

    6. Security of Your Information

Apsion uses administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While the Company has taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide, please be aware that despite these efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

    7. Policy for Children

Apsion does not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If the Company learns that personal information has been collected from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, such information will be deleted as quickly as possible.

    8. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, the Site does not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online.

    9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete your data. You can typically manage your account information directly within the Service. For other requests or if you wish to terminate your account, please contact Apsion using the contact information provided below.
